My Entrepreneurship Story

I used to be exposed to entrepreneurship every year in the summer in Upstate New York, where my uncle owns his own business. He owns Pine Bay Farm, which is a recreational area that has around 15 cottages on the St. Lawrence river. I haven't been in probably five years or more, so I never really had a entrepreneurship type conversation with him, but he is a very smart man. He even outfitted his old Porsche with a biodiesel engine and makes his own fuel. I'm hoping I can make the trip again soon so I can talk to him about being a entrepreneur.

I enrolled in this class because I'm an online student working on my BSBA and it is a requirement, but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in this class. I'm hoping this class helps me grow relationships with people and connect with other entrepreneurs, so I can gain a entrepreneur's mindset and use that to better my future.

  1. Hey this is Do Hyub Han. I would like to say that it is interesting to know that your uncle owns his own business just like my family does. I can say that owning a business has so many adventures with it and I plan to open my own business too (a martial arts/fitness school). I hope that he overcomes the obstacles and is successful in his business. Also, I think it's cool that your uncle played around with a Porsche. I hope we can both learn something good in this class.

  2. When reading about your entrepreneurship story, I found it really interesting how you were exposed to being an entrepreneur. That’s awesome that your uncle worked on a Porsche! I feel like most people would never want to try doing that, so that takes some bravery! It sounds like your uncle has a great entrepreneurial sense with the courage to own his own business!
